Key components of a guttering system

Gutters: Horizontal channels fixed to the roof edge or fascia board that catch rainwater.
Downpipes (Downspouts): Vertical pipes that carry water from the gutters down to
ground level drainage.
Fascia Brackets: Support brackets that hold the gutter in place.
Outlets: Connect the gutter to the downpipe.
End Caps: Seal the ends of gutter runs.
Gutter Guards: Mesh or cover that prevents leaves and debris from clogging the
system.

Common types
of gutters

Half-round: Traditional, semi-circular profile; good for moderate rainfall.
Square-line: Boxy shape; higher capacity for water flow.
