Slates
Slate is the most traditional and oldest form of roof covering.
A premium product with a very long life expectancy. Quarried slate is available from UK Spain Brazil China etc.

Composite Tiles
Polymer based synthetic roof tiles are an alternative to concrete. They are a slate type product and have the main advantage of being very light in weight.
Fibre cement. Same size as a traditional slate and fixed in the same way. Available with a smooth surface or slightly riven. Lower cost than natural slate.
Plastic Composite. Brand names are Britmet and Tapco. Noted for their light weight, slate look alike, flexible properties. Very easy to fix.
Their light weight makes them an ideal choice for the replacement of glass or polycarbonate in a conservatory roof.

Britmet Slates
Britmet Slate is a synthetic product manufactured from recycled polymers.
They are very light in weight, durable and unbreakable. They have the appearance of a natural slate and are available in a range of colours.
The light weight makes them evidently suitable for use on conservatory roofs, porches, garages etc. Either as a refurbishment product or original.
